Visas

Fees (last confirmed effective 25 June 2019 — verify before publishing):

Diplomats and government officials may be eligible for a visa waiver with appropriate documentation.

Requirements: an invitation letter addressed to the Embassy from your host organisation in South Sudan, that organisation’s registration certificate, recent passport photographs, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, and proof of sufficient funds. Passports must be valid at least six months beyond the application date and have an unused visa page.

Processing time: at least 7 working days after submission (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Applying: in person only, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:00am–12pm; collection 2:00pm–3:30pm the same days.

Application Form for South Sudan e-passport

Ministry of Interior — Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Immigration. Application for South Sudan ‘e’-Passport, Form 3(A), under the provisions of the False Information, Passports and Immigration Act, 2011. Warning: omission of material facts or giving false information exposes the applicant and the witness to legal procedures.

Emergency Travel Documents

For South Sudanese nationals with a lost or expired passport.

Requirements: a completed Emergency Travel Document application form (from the Embassy), two passport-sized photos, and — for a lost passport — a copy of the police report. The application must be signed by the applicant in person.

Fee: £20, cash only.

Application Form for South Sudan Nationality Certificate by Birth

Ministry of Interior — Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Immigration. Form 1(A). Warning: giving false information is considered a crime under the South Sudan Nationality Act, 2011, and exposes the applicant and their witness to legal action.

Witness: surname, given names, relation to applicant.

For official use: verification and verification officer, an interview/investigation record, the applicant’s fingerprint, attachments, approving authority, and fee.
